More than thirty years ago, Don Virgilio Navarro and his wife, Doña Josefina Martínez, planted the first coffee trees on what would become the foundation of their family's dream. What began as a humble coffee farm has grown into a project driven by tradition, innovation, and a commitment to producing exceptional specialty coffee.

In 2022, together with their children, the family officially launched Tres Herencias, a name that represents the three generations whose dedication, knowledge, and love for coffee continue to shape every harvest.

Today, every coffee they produce reflects decades of experience, countless early mornings, and a shared vision: to create coffees that truly express the character of Los Santos while honouring the family legacy behind every bean.

A Family Rooted in the Mountains of Los Santos

The Navarro family farms in one of Costa Rica's most celebrated coffee-growing regions.

Located in Tablón de Los Santos, their farms benefit from rich volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures, and ideal elevations that allow coffee cherries to mature slowly, developing remarkable sweetness and complexity.

Rather than simply producing coffee, Tres Herencias focuses on adding value through carefully designed post-harvest processes that reveal the unique personality of each variety.

Every harvest is hand-picked with care, ensuring only perfectly ripe cherries make it into the final cup.
